Annie's to sponsor Knit & Crochet Show special events

BERNE, Ind. -- Annie's, well-known publisher of magazines, pattern books and other products in the crafting market, is this year's sponsor of The Knitting Guild Association dinner, fashion show and silent auction, and also the sponsor of the Crochet Guild of America dinner, fashion show and silent auction, both being held during the summer 2012 Knit & Crochet Show.

The evening dinners will be two of the highlights of the 2012 conference, which is sponsored by TKGA and the CGOA. The conference will begin Wednesday, June 27, and will run through Sunday, July 1, held at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, N.H.

TKGA dinner, fashion show and silent auction is scheduled for Friday, June 29, and will include a variety of awards and door prizes, and will highlight member fashions and knitting designer fashions.

The CGOA dinner, fashion show and silent auction, set for Saturday, June 30, will also showcase member fashions and designer fashions. In addition, it will recognize graduates of the CGOA Master's Program and will honor the 2012 Jean Leinhauser CGOA Crochet Hall of Fame inductee.

Representatives from Annie's will attend the dinners, presenting door prizes and small goodie bags with Annie's publications and products.

Annie's Editors Kara Gott Warner and Carol Alexander will also attend the dinners, and will be present during the day on Saturday for a "Designer Meet & Greet" event, which will allow aspiring designers an opportunity to introduce themselves and connect with nationally-known editors for crochet and knitting.

Annie's will also sponsor a Saturday online community meet up, and will provide knitting and crochet notions to those in attendance, along with free copies of Creative Knitting and Crochet! magazines.

The Knit & Crochet Show is held in conjunction with national conferences for both TKGA and the CGOA. It provides an opportunity for needle crafters to expand their knowledge of the arts through classes taught by leading faculty members. It also brings to one location the latest products, designs and needlecraft news.

In addition to industry experts, consumers can attend the conference, and are able to shop for the latest yarns, stitching tools, finishing products, patterns and books.

Annie's is known to crafters and nostalgia buffs for its print and digital magazines, pattern books and other related products, sold primarily by mail and through websites and catalogs.
