BERNE, Ind.--House of White Birches, a popular publishing brand of DRG, has released a 176-page, full-color book of sewing projects that can be completed in six hours or less. Sew It in a Weekend is available for $24.95 in a wire-o bound, hardcover edition.

Sew It in a Weekend includes 57 simple sewing projects that can be completed in a few hours. Designs include fashion accessories, gift ideas and home decor items. Each pattern includes a set of step-by-step instructions, a list of the needed materials and an estimated completion time.

"Sewing is creative expression at its very best," said Julie Johnson, editor. "Unfortunately, we are all very busy, which is why Sew It in a Weekend was developed to offer simple-to-sew projects that can be completed in hours instead of days."

Project titles include Stole the Show Shawl, Tumbling Blocks Blanket, Leaf Peeper's Tote, Simple-to-Quilt Chair Cover, Simply Striped Pillow Trio, On the Go Laptop Cover and Glowing Sweatshirt Redo.
