BERNE, Ind. -- Annie's Attic, trusted brand of nationally-known publisher DRG, recently entered the realm of videography with the completion of an instructional DVD to accompany one of its "learn to" pattern books, Learn to do Tunisian Lace Stitches. The book and accompanying DVD are available online at the Annie's Attic catalog Web site at AnniesAttic.com.

Tunisian crochet has a multi-national history, with early examples found in Africa and Central Asia. It was a popular technique in the Victorian era and was frequently referred to as afghan stitch.

The DVD leads viewers through a step-by-step demonstration of the Tunisian techniques and patterns used in the book, featuring all of the pattern pages and instructions contained in the book.

DRG's Director of Digital Imaging Scott Campbell and Photo Stylist Martha Coquet filmed the DVD in the DRG Texas photo studio, with Editor Michele Maks and Designer Kim Guzman working as advisors to ensure the accuracy of the instructional information.

The DVD begins with a tutorial of how to do basic Tunisian stitches, followed by a series of step-by-step instructions for each of the book's patterns. In all, there are 10 Tunisian stitch patterns and 10 projects showing how to combine basic Tunisian stitches to create the Tunisian lace patterns created especially for the book.

This DVD project is an expansion of an earlier project, a pattern leaflet called Learn to Tat, which also included a DVD. The leaflet's success prompted DRG to expand into the "learn to" arena for pattern books.

Learn to do Tunisian Lace Stitches retails for $14.95
