New HWB book offers knitting projects to take and make

BERNE, Ind. -- House of White Birches, trusted brand of nationally-known publisher DRG, recently released a full-size knitting book of take-along knitting projects. It's in the Bag includes more than 40 patterns for knitters from all skill levels, with step-by-step pattern instructions and full-color photos in a 176-page publication that retails for $19.95 in a softcover edition.

It's in the Bag offers a variety of projects to take along on extended trips and every-day excursions. Projects range from gifts and accessories to wearables and items for little ones. There are also useful tips for packing a knitting bag for knitting on the go, as well as travel-friendly projects and new and classic knit designs.

The book is divided into five chapters, titled Accent Accessories, Wandering Wearbles, For the Little Ones, Gifty Things and Home Adornments. Patterns range in skill levels from beginner through experienced, with several pages of general information that covers abbreviations, knitting terms, information on reading patterns, finishing seams, knitting basics, knitting with beads and felting.
