BERNE, Ind. -- DRG, a leader in the craft and nostalgia markets and publisher of special-interest magazines and books, announces the release of a paper crafting pattern book with more than 20 Christmas card, gift set and tag ideas. Iris Folding for Christmas retails for $7.95.

The projects in Iris Folding for Christmas follow both traditional and non-traditional iris-folding techniques. Traditional iris folding follows patterns that, once completed, resemble the lens of an antique camera. Non-traditional methods and patterns create a product that, when completed, have a geometric or quilt-like effect.

Card patterns in the book vary, with simple and quick cards and more advanced designs. The book offers inspiration for creating greeting cards, artist trading cards, ornaments, gift bags and boxes and gift-card holders. Each project includes a color photo of the completed card, along with easy-to-follow instructions and drawings.

For an added challenge, there are projects that incorporate rubberstamping techniques, such as heat and pressure embossing, masking, and a variety of ink applications. For beginners, there is an introduction to iris folding, with step-by-step instructions for creating windows and adding folded strips to create the classic iris-fold look.

Iris Folding for Christmas is published under DRG's popular Annie's Attic brand. Annie's Attic is a nationally-known publisher of special interest books and patterns in the needlecraft and paper craft arts, publishing quality publications and craft patterns known for exceptional instructional accuracy and clarity, and for brilliant, creative photography.

Additional DRG publishing brands include The Needlecraft Shop, American School of Needlework, House of White Birches and Clotilde.

DRG products are sold direct to consumers through catalogs and the Internet and through wholesale and trade channels.
