DRG hires new catalog director

BERNE, Ind. -- DRG, a leader in the craft and nostalgia markets, has hired Pamela Kerr as the company's new catalog director.

Kerr has nearly 15 years of experience in merchandise management. Most recently, she was senior merchandise manager for Orvis, where she was responsible for profitability, design and merchandising across multiple direct-to-consumer channels, including catalog, e-commerce and retail. She directed product development for a line of home goods and gifts, and served as key liaison with operating groups in advertising, inventory, retail, quality control and customer service.

Kerr will oversee two of DRG's nationally-known special-interest catalogs -- Annie's Attic and Clotilde.

Annie's Attic catalog was founded in 1975, and since then has become a favorite source for needlecraft inspiration and supplies. The first Clotilde catalog mailed in 1971 and quickly gained a reputation as a leading source of supplies and inspiration for quilters and sewers.

In coming to DRG, Kerr said, "I'm excited to join a growing business in the craft market and am anxious to explore the many different access points DRG has to its customers through publishing, e-commerce and direct to consumer marketing."

DRG's VP Product Michele Fortune said, "Pam has a wonderful mix of experience with a strong background in merchandising and product development. She will be a great fit in the organization and I look forward to working with her."

As a recognized leader in craft market trends, DRG works with popular designers in the needlecraft arts to develop patterns and products in a number of special-interest areas.

Through the company's well-known brands, it maintains an extensive Internet presence, with more than half-a-billion consumer touch points per year, including 250 million Web page views through the company's 40 craft consumer websites, 200 million reader-requested newsletters, and more than 10 million pattern and project downloads per year.

DRG also offers its magazines, books and other craft supplies in more than 900 specialty craft shops under leading company brands that include Annie's Attic, House of White Birches, Clotilde, American School of Needlework and Good Old Days. All DRG publications and products are accessible from the company website at DRGnetwork.com.
