BERNE, Ind.--DRG has released a new nostalgia book in the Good Old Days line of publications called Our Favorite Pets. The book recounts fond memories of much-loved pets, with stories written in first person and submitted by readers from across the country. The book is edited by Ken and Janice Tate, editors of the entire line of nationally distributed Good Old Days publications, and retails for $24.95.

Our Favorite Pets is a compilation of true stories about unique animals and the people who owned them, taken from real-life experiences from the first half of the 20th century. The book includes 70 stories of favorite animal friends as told from the perspectives of the people who loved them.

Within the pages of this new book are special memories from a time when the pace was slower and life was simpler -- a time now called "the good old days." There are five chapters covering stories of how a family pet came to the rescue, stories of favorite farm friends, special memories of family dogs and family cats, and unique stories about funny and friendly creatures from the wild.

The Tates have co-edited Good Old Days magazine and its accompanying books for more than 15 years and are among the most popular nostalgic authors in North America.

Speaking of this latest publication, Ken Tate said, "Our little home in the Ozark Mountains of southern Missouri was the equivalent of a domesticated zoo, as dogs, cats, chicks, ducks, piglets and the occasional garter snake all found their way at one time or another inside our walls. These true stories help all of us return to those childhood days to remember the best years of our lives --the good old days."

Our Favorite Pets will be available soon from the Good Old Days Web site at GoodOldDaysOnline.com.
