BERNE, Ind. -- The February 2010 issue of Good Old Days offers memorable stories from a time now called "the good old days." The magazine is available in retail stores and on newsstands nationwide, with nostalgic stories written by the people who lived them.

Good Old Days includes narratives of everyday life and historical happenings, with photos from the past and interesting illustrations that highlight an earlier, simpler time. Accounts come from average Americans and from across the country, with additional song submissions and favorite family recipes to round out the old-time feel.

For more than 40 years, Good Old Days has continued to grow in popularity and appeal, and today is produced as a full-size, 70-page magazine giving readers a place to read about -- and write about -- their memories from the past. The photos, illustrations, type-set, and even the newsprint appearance, contribute to the nostalgia, taking readers back to a simpler time.

Stories in the February issue include Things My Grandpa Taught Me, Paying Off the Mortgage, Icehouse Memories, Going Without -- Making Do, Our Winter in the Lumber Camp and Buster Browns or Mary Janes.

Good Old Days is published by House of White Birches, a publishing brand of DRG of Berne, Ind. HWB was founded in the New England area in the 1940s and began publishing Good Old Days in the 1960s. In 1985, HWB moved to the Midwest to become part of the DRG family of brands, along with Annie's Attic, Clotilde, American School of Needlework and The Needlecraft Shop.
