Favorite spring memories in Looking Back magazine
![]() |
Looking Back highlights true stories contributed by readers from across the country, focusing on average Americans and every-day experiences from the past. There are old-time advertisements, witty cartoons and authentic photographs of memorable people, places and events, with additional magazine sections that incorporate nostalgia travel and old-fashioned home remedies.
Stories in the March issue recount such things as favorite family pets, riding the rails, memories from the old schoolhouse, soap making, 1950s New York City and favorite radio programs. Every issue of the magazine includes a popular Home Cooking section and a Favorite Family Recipes and Recipe Swap section.
Looking Back launched as a complement to Good Old Days magazine, the original DRG nostalgia magazine, which started as a write-in column in the 1960s but quickly grew to be an independent nostalgia publication.
For more than 40 years, Good Old Days publications have continued to grow in popularity and appeal, with stories submitted by the people who lived them. Looking Back reflects a continued interest in stories and photos from the past, but adds a more updated look and additional features -- geared toward a new generation of nostalgia readers and writers.
Looking Back is available by subscription from the magazine Web site at LookingBackMagazine.com. A 12-month subscription includes six issues for $19.97. Individual copies are available on newsstands and in select stores.
