Summer knitting patterns in July Creative Knitting magazine
![]() |
The July issue includes 98 pages of projects, including cardigans, shells, wraps, children's sweaters, throws and bags. There is also a section called Knitting Class, offering detailed diagrams that allow new knitters to learn knitting basics, such as casting on, increasing and decreasing stitches, binding off and fundamental knitting stitches, with a glossary of terms and knitting abbreviations.
Creative Knitting incorporates knitting projects made with the newest yarns in the latest styles. Each project includes a set of step-by-step instructions and additional pattern notes for projects written in skill levels that range from easy through intermediate. Every issue features afghans, home accents, garments for adults, infants and children, and gifts and accessories.
Creative Knitting magazine is available in both printed form and in a digital version, found at Digital.CreativeKnittingMagazine.com.
With the new digital version of the magazine, readers can gain instant access to the latest issue before it hits the newsstand, with two years of back issues available in PDF format. The digital version allows knitters to zoom in on photos, text and diagrams using DRG's proprietary Flip-e-Zine!™ format.
Creative Knitting magazine launched in 2004 and is known for its easy-to-follow pattern instructions and full-color photography. It is published under the House of White Birches brand.
Additional DRG brands include Annie's Attic, American School of Needlework, Clotilde and The Needlecraft Shop.
Knitters can learn more about Creative Knitting and access other knitting projects, supplies and resources at the magazine Web site at CreativeKnittingMagazine.com.
