Young Woodworkers Kit Club promotes woodworking abilities by providing fun wood projects created especially for young woodworkers. Each kit includes all the needed materials, as well as colorful illustrations and step-by-step instructions that enable boys and girls to complete each project with little or no supervision. Kits come direct by mail about every six weeks at a cost of $14.99 each, plus shipping.
Young Woodworkers Kit Club kits come with pre-cut wood pieces, fasteners, nails and all of the necessary tools, which are kid-sized for ease in handling. Tools arrive with the first three shipments, beginning with a special hammer and drill, which are mailed with the first shipment. The hammer has a standard claw head. The drill tool operates with a simple twist of the fingers and is designed for making small pilot holes. Additional tools include a tape measurer, a screwdriver, a bottle of wood glue and a small wooden carpenter’s square.
Projects include a handcrafted jeep, a working candy machine, a tool caddy, a marshmallow launcher and a CD/
