Cottage Cross-Stitch for Pillows includes 12 cottage designs for creating one-of-a-kind pillows made for all-occasion gift giving and home decorating. The book retails for $6.95 but is on sale in June at the Annie's Attic catalog Web site at AnniesAttic.com.
Cross-stitch designs in the book include Apple Blossoms, Welcome Basket, Bonnet Lady, Lovebirds, Butterfly in Flight and Hearts & Flowers. Each design comes with a detailed diagram and a list of the needed threads. Models are stitched on a 14-count white Aida fabric band and are made to fit either a 12-inch square or 12-inch by 16-inch pillow.
The book also includes two pages of general cross-stitch instructions, with information on getting started, threads, needles, quarter cross-stitch, French knots and other stitches. Also included are instructions for making a pillow from scratch.
