BERNE, Ind.--DRG, nationally known publisher of special interest magazines and books, has released a new plastic canvas project book called Holiday Stocking Hangers, published under The Needlecraft Shop brand. The book retails for $6.95 and will be available soon in select specialty stores.

Holiday Stocking Hangers is an 18-page, full-color pattern book with detailed instructions for creating five plastic canvas holiday stocking hangers stitched on 7-count plastic canvas. All of the patterns are written at the intermediate skill level in a step-by-step format, with a color diagram of the design and a color key of the needed yarns.

Stocking holders in the book are made to sit on a mantle or ledge. Patterns include a Santa, a snowman, an angel, a teddy bear and a gingerbread man. Each project includes a complete materials list and holder dimensions, with general plastic canvas instructions and basic stitches included at the back of the book.

Plastic canvas continues to be a popular crafting pastime, and supplies are available in local craft and needlework stores. Some supplies can be found in fabric, hardware and discount stories, and are available from the Annie's Attic catalog, accessible at Annie'sAttic.com.

Holiday Stocking Hangers will also be available soon at the Annie's Attic catalog site.

The Needlecraft Shop is a prime source for plastic canvas, crochet and cross-stitch patterns. It became a DRG brand in 1994 and produces a wide variety of needlecraft patterns, books and pattern series.
