BERNE, Ind. -- The February 2009 issue of Quilter's World magazine is now available on newsstands and in retail stores and specialty shops. It features 18 quilt patterns in varying sizes, with individual magazine copies retailing for $5.99.

Quilter's World is published by DRG, nationally-known publisher of special-interest magazines, books and project booklets. DRG encompasses leading brands that include American School of Needlework, Annie's Attic, Clotilde, House of White Birches and The Needlecraft Shop. Quilter's World is published under the House of White Birches brand.

The magazine offers full-size quilt patterns and also includes quilted table runners, toppers, wall hanging and other quilted items. It offers original patterns that combine traditional quilting with contemporary quilt creations and contains helpful tips on techniques from some of today's top quilting experts.

The February issue includes projects in winter themes, including a Valentine's Day wall hanging, a snowman banner, a lap-size valentine quilt, a pink tote, a cell-phone carrier and a full-size string-piecing quilt.

Also available with the February issue are 10 extra pages, available only online at the magazine Web site at Quilters-World.com. The extra quilt patterns and articles are offered to both subscribers and newsstand buyers.

In addition to the traditional print version, Quilter's World is also available in a digital format. The digital subscription site went live in 2008, offering a Web-accessible, Flip-e-Zine format that allows users to page through the current magazine issue, with access to back issues of the magazine in a searchable PDF format.

Quilter's World provides helpful hints for quilters at all experience levels, with feature articles about the artists behind the designs. February's features are titled A Stitch Is Still a Stitch -- Even in Wood and Amy Bradley: Her Life, Quilting and the Pursuit of Fabric.

The magazine is published six times a year and is available by subscription at the magazine Web site.
